Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011

Visit the IRDC gazebo in the rally stage paddock situated at the top end of the challenging 1.67 gravel stage laid out in the small forest at the top of the famous Goodwood hill and designed by former world rally champion and icon of the sport - Hannu Mikola.
The IRDC is again proud to have the opportunity to assist former international co driver and Goodwood rally stage director Rick Smith and his team in the running of the demonstration stage at this year's Festival of Speed.
Each year the stage plays host to around 50 cars and top drivers from rallying folklore, pitching teams and drivers from the current WRC campaign competing against past masters of the sport on the popular Goodwood Forest Rally Stage.
Previous years have seen RAC winners Rauno Aaltonen, Markku Alen and Petter Solberg, together with British rally legends Russell Brookes and Jimmy McRae, as well as international superstars Sebastien Loeb and Marcus Gronholm driving on the loose-surface Sussex stage.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the largest motoring garden party in the world and opens on Thursday 30th June with a day dedicated to the moving motor show; showcasing new and existing models from the major prestige motor manufacturers.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday are dedicated to the sport and sees many stars and motor sport 'royalty' drive a heady mix of cars up the specially created hill-climb in the immaculate grounds of Goodwood House in a true celebration of motor sport and all things automotive.
Don't miss it ...
