Latest news from the Alpes-Maritimes is that after stage 9, the rally is currently being led by the Lancia Fulvia 1600 HF of Italians Mozzi & Biacca. Best British crews are Steve and Tony Graham's Lancia Fulvia in 89th position with Jeff Oford and Peter Moss, in a 2.7 Porsche 911S, not far behind in 92nd place. The weather is uncharacteristically mild and competitors have very little snow to contend with in the mountains closer to the Mediterranean coast.
