40th AGM and 20:20 Vision meeting
The International Rally Drivers Club 40th Annual General meeting took place at Cornbury house on Saturday 8th May. The President Jimmy McRae, Vice - Presidents: Malcolm Wilson, John Haugland and Gywndaf Evans, Chairman Shaun Martin, Vice Chairman Rob Langley, Secretary Tony Graham and Treasurer Liz Jordan were all elected.
In the morning we had the 20:20 - A Vision for the Future inaugural meeting hosted by Stuart Turner. This proved an interesting and at sometimes a lively debate on the future of the club and rally as a whole. Views came form club members, Barrie Williams and from British Rally Supremo Mark Taylor (via Tony Graham). We now have the next stage where the group is formed to look at these issues over the coming months and work with Stuart Turner to formulate a plan and more important the vision. The meeting took place at the Porsche Club of Great Britain's Facility at Moreton-in-the-Marsh, Glos and for those thinking of organising and event this place is a must.
