Opportunity knocks in Finland for Meeke
Great news for UK rally fans is that the perennially underrated Kris Meeke will be sitting in a works Citroen DS3 WRC on Rally Finland, probably the biggest opportunity of his career to date.
The Northern Irish former winner of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge title with Peugeot Sport; Meeke contested six world rallies with Prodrive's Mini team, but this is the first time he has started a world championship round in a full-blown factory car and will test the DS3 WRC for one day before the event.
Meeke will be driving Khalid Al-Qassimi's Citroen, as the Abu Dhabi star is unable for the next round of the world championship.
