Wales Rally GB - 2013 WRC Finale

Even though the FIA 2013 World Rally Championship has already been won conclusively, this weekend sees the 'new-look' Wales Rally GB provide spectacular action for rally fans in some of the most charismatic forests of north and mid Wales as the hard-fought contest reaches its thrilling conclusion.

The field will be lead away from the Llandudno start by Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen's Citroën DS3 WRC followed by the sister car of Dani Sordo and Carlos Del Barrio. Third away will be the Fiesta RS WRC of Mads Řstberg and Jonas Andersson but spectators will have to wait until car 8 to see the 2013 world rally champion Sébastien Ogier who with co-driver Julien Ingrassia completes his championship winning year in their all-conquering VOLKSWAGEN MOTORSPORT Polo R WRC. Sixty-four entries make up the International rally this year.

Rally veteran and IRDC member Tony Jardine, co-driven by Skeleton gold medal winner Amy Williams will run their Honda at number 112 in the international event whilst our club chairman Shaun Martin, ably co-driven again this year by Anthony Concannon will start Shaun's faithful class B4 Subaru Impreza as car 237 among the 71 cars on the day three National rally. On day two, twenty-nine clubman's cars will join the rally.

The International Rally Drivers Club wishes competitors good luck for a fast, safe and trouble-free rally. For more details and route information contact:www.walesrallygb.com
