Kris Meeke Confirmed at Citroen for 2015

Great news for British rally fans - Kris Meeke has retained his seat as a Citroen works driver for the 2015 World Rally Championship. The Northern Irishman scored four podiums and led Rally Germany during his debut season driving a DS3 WRC and will contest the full programme of WRC events accompanied by his usual co-driver Paul Nagle.

Meeke was a relative outsider for the coveted works seat when Citroen team principal Yves Matton signed him 12 months ago, although he had shown promising speed running at the front of Rally Finland and Rally Australia, before crashing on both occasions. Matton now admits that his choice had been a risk, but said that Meeke had now proved himself worthy of the seat.

Matton affirmed, "Kris is a competitive driver on all surfaces, capable of being quick on Tarmac and on gravel. This versatility is a real asset for Citroen Racing." Meeke's team-mate is due to be announced sometime next week.
